remember the thunder

went to rock for wayne yesterday good bands..good bands..like the great spy experiment, humpback oak, electrico..the quality of local music is actually much better than people think it is. probably cos their ears had been unfairly assualted by some of the more truamatising performances on singapore idol.. caracal surprised me. very young band members, but the music was good albeit loud, the lead singer had great stage presence and the drummer simply blew me away. he and the great spy drummer..but of course dearest wayne was and always will be the best and my favourite drummer. some pictures..
i liked the banner. thought it was rather cool 
seat of honour. wayne thunder's set which he covered in gold paper for the rock feel..oh the passion he had.. 
astroninja all-stars. musicians from various bands came together to form astroninja..like the keyboardist amanda ling from electrico, ex-ronin frontman levan wee, peepshow frontman i-dont-know-his-name, the electrico bassist, the bad obsession drummer and so on..a whole lineup of them..and levan (the one with white hair) was being screamy again but he had some good vocals here and there..and he was walking around with a bottle of vodka, offering it to random ppl in the audience but security stopped him ahaha.
i thought their opening song was cool..phantom of the opera in jazz..they all wore funny costumes..can you see the ninja holding the bass guitar on the left hand side of the photo? haha..and the drummer was darth vader

i really wish that the suns could have performed along with wayne thunder..that would have been an absolutely fantastic concert.
